Cairns Indigenous Art Fair

The countdown is on and the excitement is building in the lead up to the 2012 Cairns Indigenous Art Fair, 17-19 August.

The Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal will once again be the epicentre for this year’s Art Fair. CIAF will showcase the art of more than 300 Queensland Indigenous artists and bring together 23 art centres and commercial galleries that represent their work; record numbers of participants. The free entry to the Art Fair will include a daily program featuring traditional dance displays, artists’ talks, children’s art classes and an opportunity to see and purchase the very best of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.

Visit the CIAF Exhibition at the Cairns Regional Gallery. This exhibition brings together some of the most innovative pieces of work currently created by leading and emerging Queensland Indigenous artists who are exploring new mediums. There is also a plethora of satellite events held around the city to enjoy.
