Visioning the Outdoors Short Film Competition
Are you into digital film making or animation? Do you like getting outdoors for bushwalking, camping, canoeing, orienteering, mountain biking, skating etc?
Well, think about entering a film in Visioning the Outdoors Short Film Competition! The theme this year is – LIVE Outdoors – a celebration of the power of outdoor recreation activities to enrich people’s lives. The film competition asks you to create a vision of outdoor activity and nature that is inspiring and creative; tell a story of life as it is lived in the realm of outdoor activities.
Competition categories:
- Short Film (3 minutes)
- Mobile Minute (1 minute filmed on hand-held pocket size device).
This year there is a Youth category prize, which encourages under 18s to explore the outdoors with friends or family, and tell a story of the experience, reflecting on the benefits of outdoor recreation.
Film submissions for LIVE Outdoors may focus on one, or many, outdoor recreation pursuits and environments, but the intention of submissions should be to develop a short film, in any genre, that helps to inspire others to be active outdoors.
Competition runs through to Friday 20 July 2012.
See the Visioning the Outdoors website for more details and tips on getting started!
Cost: Free submission entry
