Amanda Heelan is a young Brisbane based jewellery designer. Her works range from highly ornate and stylised one-off pieces through to more classic, wearable designs. Amanda specialises in hand beaded pieces using semi-precious stones, crystal and pearl. After completing a Diploma of Textiles, Clothing and Footwear in 2004, Amanda started her own label and is currently stocked at The Tribune, Brisbane.

I see what I do as a response to the throw away disposable nature that has been common in many industries, and I think we are now starting to see a move back towards valuing individually hand made and locally produced products that are based around the idea of quality - not quantity.
