
Who We Are
Youth Arts Queensland (YAQ) is a not-for-profit, membership-based organisation. YAQ represents and promotes a diverse and thriving youth arts sector in Queensland. From festivals to multi-arts workshops, performances and exhibitions, young people from a diversity of places, cultures, and communities are participating in and creating their own arts and cultural experiences.

...is to lead, strengthen, celebrate and respond to youth arts and cultural development at state, national and international levels.
What we do
YAQ supports and responds to the needs of young emerging artists, arts workers and the sector to sustain best practise in youth arts by:
- Building relationships with arts and creative industries to understand issues and opportunities for the youth arts sector;
- Identifying opportunities to provide better access to training, support, information, mentoring and employment in arts & creative industries;
- Advocating these issues and opportunities;
- Promoting youth arts best practise and its achievements.
