We produce and maintain a number of publications that set out to inform, promote and ignite discussion. You are welcome to contribute to our publications and utilise them to enhance your promotional activities and the reach of your PR.

YAQ Industry Newsletter
The YAQ Industry Newsletter is a fortnightly newsletter that informs people working with children and young people in the arts about news and developments within the Queensland youth arts industry and provides local practitioners with information about national trends that are relevant to their work.
Subscription is FREE so subscribe now.
YAQ members who would like to share their latest news and promote their offers and events can do so on an ongoing basis; for non-members we include one-off listings.
Content Styleguide
- Submit your contributions either in the body of an email or as a Microsoft Word document attachment
- Follow the format of: title, 200 word copy, event details (what, when, where, how much, bookings, more information)
- Images cannot be included at this point in time
- PDF and JPG flyers cannot be considered
YAQ eUpdate
The YAQ eUpdate is a fortnightly newsletter targeted at young people interested and involved in the arts and creative industries that provides information about current opportunities and events and allows young artists and artsworkers to connect with like-minded people and promote their own activities.
Subscription is FREE so subscribe now to be added to our distribution list.
We are more than happy to include your opportunities and events. Use our eUpdate as a promotional tool – ongoing listings are free for YAQ members; for non-members we include one-off listings.

YAQ Papers

YAQ is the Queensland contributing editor for Lowdown Magazine , the national online publication for youth performing arts in Australia. The Lowdown website features a Queensland section which promotes the diversity of practice, production and events across our state.
Including your youth arts activities in Lowdown gives you great exposure and enhances your profile. All you need to do is submit your media releases, articles and review suggestions to YAQ and we will work with you to develop a submission to Lowdown Magazine.

YAQ and its programs receive financial assistance from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative. YAQ receives additional support from the Australia Council for the Arts, the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body, through the Opportunities for Young and Emerging Artist initiative for JUMP, the national mentoring program for young and emerging artists.
