YOUNG PEOPLE CREATING QUEENSLAND
- ARTIST CALL OUT -
Are you a young Queenslander who makes art, produces gigs, organises workshops and events in your local community?
Then we want to hear from YOU!
As part of the Q150 celebrations, we are celebrating young people, their creativity and the contribution they make to the community. To do that, we are looking for 150 young aspiring artists, arts workers, creative entrepreneurs and change makers to be profiled in a publication called Young People Creating Queensland.
What is Young People Creating Queensland
Young People Creating Queensland will be a hard-copy publication produced by us, Youth Arts Queensland. The publication will feature 150 profiles and images of young artists and their work and provide a snap shot of what kind of creative things young people in Queensland do.
Young People Creating Queensland will also be online featuring your profile as well as profiles of your project and the people that support you.
So if you:
- are 30 years of age or under, and
- have created a new body of work, put on an event, worked for an arts organisation or on an arts project, established a new initiative, and/or have contributed to change in your local community, and
- live and/or work in Queensland
we want to hear from you!
Artists from all cultural backgrounds, regional and remote areas are encouraged to apply.
What Young People Creating Queensland will do for you
Young People Creating Queensland will:
- Support you in building your profile and help you in spreading the word about your work.
- Put you in touch with like-minded people across the state (who knows where this might lead? Perhaps a project in a different town or working with new people?)
- Raise awareness amongst the wider arts and community sector for the work that young creatives do in Queensland and the contribution you make to our art and culture.
